ADOPT-A-FAMILY
Adopt-A-Family is a program geared towards needy families within the community. Every month the Bakersfield Alumnae Chapter allocates monetary support and various items such as clothing, basic essentials, gift certificates, etc. to identified families. |

RELAY FOR LIFE
Relay for life is a fundraising event to raise money for the research of the American Cancer Society. Hosted at California State University, Bakersfield, each year the Bakersfield Alumnae Chapter provides support through participation and monetary contribution. |
∆ EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT |
THE DR. JEANNE L. NOBLE DELTA GEMS INSTITUTE
This national signature program is part of a continuum of services that address the specific needs of young African-American girls between the ages of 14 and 18 or in the high school grades. The goals of The Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Delta GEMS Institute: Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully are as follows:
To instill the need to excel academically
To provide tools that enable girls to sharpen and enhance their skills to achieve high levels of academic success
To assist girls in proper goal setting and planning for their futures - high school and beyond
To create compassionate, caring, and community minded young women by actively involving them in service learning and community service opportunities |

LOVE LUNCHEON
The Love Luncheon is an annual scholarship luncheon held every 3rd Saturday in February. Students are chosen based on their involvement in areas that represent our Five-Point Thrust program. |

THE DELTA CHALLENGE HOMEOWNERSHIP INITIATIVE

VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVE
We as Sorors are encouraged to aggressively address voter education and registration. To fulfill this we provide a voter registration booth preferably in a popular part of the community. Our goal is to make opportunity available for those who are not registered to vote. |
